USA Hockey Announces Renewal Of Four Official Licensing Agreements

USA Hockey today announced that it has renewed retail licensing agreements with four top North American sports merchandise and apparel manufacturers: Joy Athletic, Inc.; GCI Sports; In Glas Co. Corporation, Ltd.; and K1 Sportswear.

The announcement was made by USA Hockey Executive Director Doug Palazzari (Colorado Springs, Colo.); Vice President and Marketing Council Chairperson Larry Reid (Rumford, R.I.); Director, Corporate Marketing and Consumer Products Chris Trinceri (Colorado Springs, Colo.); and Coordinator, Corporate Marketing and Consumer Products Harry Leckemby, Jr. (Colorado Springs, Colo.).

With the strength of USA Hockey’s brand growth at the grass roots level, we are proud to announce the renewal of agreements with four long-term licensees, said Trinceri. As our game has grown, these companies have aggressively met the demands and needs of our members and U.S. hockey fans by supplying high quality, appealing products.

Based in Miami, Fla., Joy Athletic, Inc., is one of the top suppliers in sports licensed apparel in the country. By renewing its licensing agreement with USA Hockey, Joy Athletic will continue to produce T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, fleece shirts and cotton/cotton blend jerseys bearing the USA Hockey marks.

GCI Sports, Inc., based in Providence, R.I., is a leading manufacturer and designer of sports, corporate, advertising and recognition accessories. GCI Sports is licensed to produce pins, key chains, decorated pucks, plaques, trophies, award medals, jewelry and ornaments with the USA Hockey logos.

The main objective of In Glas Co. Corporation, Ltd., is to become the top puck and novelty supplier in the world in licensed and custom products. The Sherbrooke, Quebec-based firm, through its agreement with USA Hockey, will produce souvenir hockey pucks, wood hockey puck holders, plastic and wood mini-hockey sticks, pennants, mini-hockey puck key chains, mini-hockey puck statues and water bottles.

K1 Sportswear, a Cloquet, Minn.-based company, is a leading producer of ice and inline hockey jerseys, as well as hockey socks, bags, jackets and pants. As part of its renewal with USA Hockey, K1 Sportswear will produce jerseys for youth and adult ice and inline hockey teams throughout the country.
