Zamboni Ice Resurfacing Machine Selected As Preferred Supplier Of Ice Resurfacing

Frank J. Zamboni & Co., Inc., the inventor and world's leading producer of ice rink resurfacing machines, has announced a new alliance within the ice sport industry. They have been selected as the preferred supplier of ice rink resurfacing machines to the NHL SKATE ice facilities.

NHL SKATE is a new initiative from the National Hockey League to bring the growing sport of ice hockey to new locations across the country. The first site opened in Birch Run, Michigan in August of 1997. Two new Zamboni machines were delivered in time to provide exceptional ice for thousands of skaters in attendance at the grand opening. The second NHL SKATE facility opened two months ago in Exeter, New Hampshire. Two new Zamboni machines were delivered to the facility in early December 1998.

In 1999, the Zamboni Company celebrates its 50th Anniversary. Richard Zamboni, son of the inventor of the machine, works to keep the Company's position as the front-runner in the ice resurfacing business. We're proud of our selection as the NHL's Preferred Rink Equipment Supplier for ice resurfacing machines at these new facilities. The NHL is working with Family Ice Enterprises, LLC, with plans to open at least 10 of these facilities over the next three years. Zamboni will be entrusted with keeping the ice smooth and clean in each one.
