New England College skates past Salve Regina University
New England College men�s ice hockey improved to 8-2-1 overall
beating the Salve Regina Seahawks 8-0 this evening. The loss is the fifth for the Seahawks this season
dropping their overall record to 3-5-1.
NEC senior Travis Banga recorded the 100th point of his career scoring the second goal of the game
finishing with one goal and one assist on the evening.
Banga is just the 20th player to enter NEC�s
100-point club. Leading the offensive attack for the Pilgrims was sophomore Jeff VanDyke who
scored 3 goals and added an assist and NEC�s RA Mobile added a goal and 1 assist.
NEC goalie Scott Gray picked up his first career victory picking up the shutout and recording 10
saves. In goal for Salve Regina was Herb Hollins who turned away an impressive 52 shots.
