Valley Ice Rinks Announce Free Kids Hockey Program

The Phoenix Coyotes announced today that the organization is teaming up with Valley ice rinks to promote the launch Kids First Hockey sponsored by Bauer/Nike - a new free on-ice youth hockey program that will be hosted and managed two times annually at four Phoenix area ice rinks.

Beginning this December, kids ages 4-8 across the Valley will have an opportunity to participate for free in Kids First Hockey sponsored by Bauer/Nike. Kids First Hockey consists of four one-hour sessions designed to provide on-ice instruction and off-ice seminars to beginning hockey players and their parents. In addition, each participant will receive a Kids First Hockey jersey and a complimentary ticket to a Phoenix Coyotes home game.

The Phoenix Coyotes have contributed resources to aid this program such as an online registration tool at the team�s official website, PhoenixCoyotes.com. Registration forms will be available in November. Registration is limited.

Valley ice rinks participating in Kids First Hockey include the Desert Schools Coyotes Centers in Chandler and Peoria, ALLTEL Ice Den in Scottsdale and Oceanside Ice Arena in Tempe. The respective ice rinks will provide all management, coaches, equipment and rental skates as well as coordinate all aspects of Kids First Hockey.
