One-of�a-kind Gretzky jersey donated, to support First Nations minor hockey

The Little NLH First Nations Hockey Tournament and the Fort William First Nation Minor Hockey Association have netted a big win with the donation of a one-of-a-kind signed Wayne Gretzky jersey. The framed jersey is from Gretzky�s final team, the New York Rangers. It is accompanied by pucks indicating each of the NHL teams the Great One played for during his stellar career, as well as a brass plate detailing his major awards and accomplishments. It will be raffled off to raise funds to support First Nations minor hockey in Ontario.

The authentic Wayne Gretzky memorabilia was donated by Weyerhaeuser Company Limited. Norm Bush, Weyerhaeuser�s Vice President of Ontario Operations, says the jersey donation is a perfect fit. As a company, we try to focus our giving in several key areas that include youth, recreation, improving the quality of life, and supporting the communities in our operating areas. Wayne Gretzky is a role model for youth across the country not only as a hockey player but as a man and a citizen, and is admired by both children and adults. When the opportunity arose to pair a chance to win some of his memorabilia with the largest First Nation hockey tournament for young people in Ontario, we knew it was a win-win situation. Weyerhaeuser is pleased to team up with the Fort William First Nation Minor Hockey Association and to be a supporter of the Little NHL Hockey Tournament.
