Rewards To Amateur Hockey Players for Staying out of the Penalty Box

The Hockey Development Centre for Ontario and Dairy Farmers of Canada announce the launch of the 2004 Milk Penalty Free Sweepstakes to encourage fair play, skills, safety and sportsmanship in amateur hockey.

Now in its seventeenth year, the 2004 Milk Penalty Free Sweepstakes promises to be the biggest yet with more than 26 sponsors and $100,000 in prizes available to amateur hockey teams in Ontario that play a penalty free fame during the contest period. Ron MacLean, Paul Henderson and Margot Page all return as Milk Energy Penalty Free spokespeople.

Since its inception, the Milk Penalty Free Sweepstakes has received more than 86,000 entries. More than 62 per cent of these entries either won or tied their penalty free game, indicating that staying out of the penalty box leads to success on the ice. The program also includes an MVP award that recognizes individual players who exemplify the values of the Milk Penalty Free Sweepstakes – skills, safety and sportsmanship.
