Philadelphia Phantoms Youth Hockey Club is Newest Member

Flyers Skate Zone has been approved for membership into the Atlantic Youth Hockey League for the 2003-04 season. This Tier 1 youth hockey league includes organizations along the east coast from Washington D.C to Connecticut and provides competition at the highest possible level for youth hockey players ages 9 to 19 in the mid-Atlantic region. The Philadelphia Phantoms Youth Hockey Club will commence its tryouts.

The new organization will be named Philadelphia Phantoms Youth Hockey Club and will practice and play games out of the refurbished Sovereign Bank Flyers Skate Zone at Pennsauken, NJ. The Sovereign Bank Flyers Skate Zone at Pennsauken is located at 6725 River Road, Pennsauken, NJ. To register for tryouts please contact Tim Fingerhut or Ed Herneisen.

Flyers Skate Zone is excited to have this opportunity to provide a local Tier 1 hockey experience for the best AAA-level players in the South Jersey and Philadelphia region, said Pat Ferrill, Comcast-Spectacor Vice President of Rink Management and Development. Flyers Skate Zone, with four locations in Northeast Philadelphia; Voorhees, NJ; Pennsauken, NJ; and Atlantic City, NJ, offers the community incredible skating experiences, including interactive public skating sessions with DJ, light shows, ticket giveaways, free Phantoms tickets and other prizes. Additional programs include Flyers Youth Hockey Leagues, Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey lessons from professional instructors, adult hockey leagues, hockey tournaments, school skating parties, private rental for corporate events, Flyers and Phantoms player appearances; Flyers Alumni games; Stanley Cup, Calder Cup and other hockey trophy appearances and charity events.
