Kids' Hockey: The Parents' Guide

Questions, questions, questions! How much is equipment? Is used equipment safe? How much of my time will it take? Is it safe for my daughter to play? Should I be concerned that my child is always the goalie? How do I know if my child?s coach is any good? I want to help coach -- what should I do?

Different parents have different levels of knowledge of junior hockey, but all will benefit from the knowledge of Dr. Gary Abraham, author of Kids' Hockey: The Parents' Guide. He has three children of his own, two playing on Rep teams, and years of playing experience (up to the university varsity level as a winger.) He coaches, runs his own hockey school and has specialized in sports medicine since 1991. As a specialist he is team doctor to junior-A teams and is affiliated with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Dr. Abraham knows parents have lots of questions about junior amateur hockey, he's had them himself and faced them as coach, school owner and doctor, and he can answer virtually all of them for you and your readers.

Kids' Hockey will be available in stores this October, just as many children will be suiting up for their first game of a new hockey season. When parents will be facing many of the problems covered in Dr. Araham's new book.
